Depression often has a way of distorting how we see ourselves and our lives. One of the sneaky patterns that can keep us stuck is "discounting the positive"—when we brush off our accomplishments, no matter how small, and only focus on what's wrong.
This thinking can make you feel like nothing is ever good enough, even when you're doing your best. But the truth is, every step forward matters, and you are worthy of recognizing your wins.
Start paying attention to the positive moments, no matter how tiny they seem. Celebrating even the smallest victories can be a powerful antidote to the heaviness of depression.
Remember, your progress is real. Don't discount it.
